The Kaptains

Uncertainty. That would be the word that characterizes our family at this time. Our family is scheduled to depart Malaysia for an extended furlough June 11, but the present situation makes travel during this time unwise. What does seem wise is to depart for the United States late July or early August. Sounds like a simple adjustment. It is for Anju and the kids, who happen to be on a long-term visa. I, on the other hand, am on a tourist visa which expires in May. If I depart Malaysia, I will not be allowed back in since the borders are closed. The logical, and again simple, solution would be to get an emergency extension on my visa but the entire nation is on lockdown. Immigration offices are closed and won’t open until April 28. 

The only thing we know for certain is that nothing is certain. God knows when we need to depart, and He will take care of us. Of this, I Am Certain!
