Our Vision for the Future
You’ve heard us talk about our core philosophy – “Training the Trainers”. But, why is this concept so important, and why are you so crucial to its success?
“Training the Trainers” is a simple concept. It involves youth leadership training which is focused on preparing national Christian leaders who then train others as passionate, effective youth pastors and leaders for local churches. This training is provided through Centers for Youth Ministry (CYM described) associated with national Christian schools and seminaries, providing a high level of education leading to qualified degrees and diplomas.
Why are you so important to this process of reaching young people for Christ around the world?
For any ministry to be truly effective, prayer is the primary component. Dr. Jerry Falwell, who I worked for in youth ministry at Thomas Road Baptist Church in the 1980s, firmly stated, “Nothing of eternal significance is ever accomplished outside of prayer.”
Your prayers are essential to everything we do through Youth Ministry International.
To accomplish the visions and goals we believe God has set before us, we also need your financial support. Your financial investment makes it possible for more individuals to learn biblical and culturally appropriate youth principles – Individuals who will be empowered to reach more young people with the gospel – Young people who will be discipled to become leaders themselves.

The potential for YMI to impact lives for Christ is growing every year… every day. And we are looking at 2020 as yet another year wherein God does amazing things!
As a play on words appropriate for the year 2020, we want our VISION to be even more FOCUSED, more intentional.
In the weeks ahead of us leading up to the end of the year, we will share more ways that your partnership with YMI will impact lives, not only in the year 2020, but well into the future as the lives of youth are changed as they become Christ followers, enter a life of active discipleship, and become disciple-makers as they share with others what Christ has done in their lives.
Our goal as we look forward to 2020 is to raise at least $40,000 by the end of 2019 that will assist us in communicating the heart and vision of YMI. And a matching gift will DOUBLE the impact of each donation.
We hope that you will seriously consider helping us through your prayers and financial support. Every prayer, every gift, helps transform lives for the glory of God. You may not be able to experience firsthand what our YMI missionary trainers get to see as they work hand in hand with national leaders in our countries of service, but you are still ministering hand in hand with and through us.

In just the last 10 years, with the support of our partners, more than 400,000 youth have come to know Christ as Savior, and more than 700,000 are now active in local church discipleship communities.
