“He bends down to listen. I will pray as long as I have breath.” (Psalm 116:2)

Prayer “blesses” the Lord. Prayer “blesses” our YMI missionaries. We all know how important it is to pray for our YMI missionaries, but sometimes we just don’t know how to pray for them. We want our prayers to be as specific and strategic as possible.

May we suggest the acrostic B-L-E-S-S-E-S to use as a guide to help in your prayers for our missionaries around the world?

B…     Pray that they and their children would be in good health and that their “Bodies” would be strong and fit.

L…    Pray that as they “Labor” for the Lord in ministry they would be found faithful to their calling to youth ministry and to the vision of YMI.

E…     Pray that their financial support would remain solid and therefore be on a firm foundation “Economically”, eliminating that pressure from their lives.

S…    Pray for them as they encounter the daily “Stresses” of life that are increased exponentially when living cross-culturally.

S…     Pray for them to be able to stand firm against our enemy when the “Spiritual” battle is raging all around them.

E…     Pray for their “Emotional” well-being to be stable when life gets tough.

S…     Pray for their “Spiritual” lives and that their personal time to “feed their own souls” would not get “squeezed out” of their rhythm of life, but would always be a daily priority.

 “The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul…” (Psalm 19:7a)
