“Now, I understand it!”
“Okay! Now, I understand it. I have been praying and praying for God to give me His direction in Tanzania for reaching the youth of my country. I now believe He has answered my prayer.”
Nyuma Kiyimbi
Tanzanian Youth Ministry Coordinator, Africa Inland Church
Graduate of our YMI Diploma in Youth Ministry
Have you ever prayed and prayed and prayed for something or someone and heaven seemed to be silent? What did you do? Stop praying? Or, did you “keep asking” and “keep seeking” and “keep knocking” and persevere in your prayers as Jesus instructed us to do in Matthew 7:7?
I was on a zoom call the other day with Nyuma Kiyimbi and two other Tanzanians who are also graduates of our YMI youth ministry degree program. I was explaining and helping them to better understand our new Saturation Multiplication Training Strategy.
This strategy is based on Matthew 28:19-20 and 2 Timothy 2:1-2. It is our desire to “saturate” countries, like Tanzania, with youth ministry “training” that would be “multiplied” to Tanzanian youth pastors and youth workers all through-out the 26 regions of Tanzania, plus the 5 regions of Zanzibar.
I said to our graduates: “This is a big goal, but we serve a big God!” It was then that Nyuma responded, with a big smile on his face, with his quote above. He, obviously, never stopped praying.

When I completed my little SMT strategy presentation, I challenged our three graduates to please pray and ask God if He would want them to be part of this strategy in Tanzania. Nyuma asked me, before we ended our meeting in prayer, “Pastor Frank, may I invite others?” I told Nyuma to invite whomever he wanted to invite.
This Saturation Multiplication Training strategy is being blessed by God in several other countries around the world where YMI has a presence. By the will of the Lord for His glory, may it begin in Tanzania. May thousands of Tanzanian youth come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord and then be discipled in their faith (Matthew 28:19-20). May 1000’s of Tanzanian youth pastors and youth workers receive training in youth ministry to better equip them in their youth ministries – and then begin to train others to be better equipped in their youth ministries (2 Timothy 2:1-2).
We pray that the end result will be that youth’s lives will be changed by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, families will be changed, local churches and communities will be changed, Tanzania will be changed, and the continent of Africa will be changed!
In Christ,
